Vintage Notes

2014 Vintage: A challenging one for the Jura with conditions that were overall cooler and wetter than normal. Despite the challenging conditions, vineyards remained relatively disease-free, much to the relief of vignerons. Conditions remained cool until mid-August, and then for the next 4 weeks warmer temperatures helped to accelerate ripening allowing grapes to catch up to normal timelines. Fruit was harvested in good condition with balanced sugars and acidities. Wines may be a bit austere and restrained in their youth, but will flourish with some time in the bottle.
